Megan Lott, MPH, RDN, is Deputy Director of Healthy Eating Research (HER), a national program that supports research on policies, systems, and environmental strategies to promote healthy eating among children and families.
She helps lead the program’s strategic direction and works with researchers, funders, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations to advance evidence-based food and nutrition policy.
Prior to joining Duke University, Megan spent eight years in Washington, DC, working on federal nutrition policy and research at The Pew Charitable Trusts and the National Farm to School Network. Her work has focused on improving child nutrition, school food environments, and community food systems through research, policy, and cross-sector collaboration.
Megan is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and holds a BS in Nutrition Sciences and Dietetics from the University of Cincinnati and an MPH from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
