Chassidy Watson grew up on the Big Island of Hawaiʻi and has called Waiʻanae, Oʻahu home for the past four years.
She currently serves as the Food is Medicine Project Supervisor at Elepaio Social Services, where she supports community-based programs that connect families and individuals with fresh, locally grown produce and culturally meaningful food resources.
Chassidy’s connection to Food as Medicine is deeply personal. Before joining Elepaio Social Services, she was a participant in the Food as Medicine program herself, experiencing firsthand the impact that increased access to healthy, locally grown foods can have on individuals and families. Her journey from participant to program leader has shaped her passion for creating accessible, community-centered solutions that support health, food security, and the well-being of Hawaiʻi communities.
