Julia Sharib is the Associate Director of Research Management and Dissemination for the Food is Medicine Institute. In her role, Julia supports the Institute’s overall research strategy and its reach beyond the academic sphere.
Julia manages many of the Institute’s research projects and serves as a bridge between researchers and key partners. She also leads the Institute’s communications. Before joining Tufts in 2018, she taught nutrition classes to SNAP-eligible participants in Indianapolis and worked in marketing and communications for a Cambridge biotech startup. She holds an MS from the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts and a BS from the University of Connecticut.
