Rachel Fisher, MS, MPH, RDN is a Senior Advisor in the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health (OASH) in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). In this role, she advises agency and departmental officials on current physical activity and nutrition science to inform policies and programs related to health promotion and disease prevention.
Rachel leads the HHS Food is Medicine initiative to unify and advance collective action and supports the HHS Initiative to Advance Nutrition in Medical Education. Prior to her work at OASH, Rachel spent 15 years in the Office of Nutrition Research at the National Institutes of Health.
